Unlocking GCSE Science:

Unlocking science is a course designed to support students starting in year 10 who are currently underperforming in GCSE double or triple science and need a different approach from what school offers. 

Unlocking science tuition sessions involve getting students to think deeply about science, explaining how science works with real life examples, demonstrations and models. Students will need to participate in written and spoken exercises, calculations and other activities. 

The sessions last 55 minutes each and will cover the basics of secondary school biology, chemistry and physics over thirty sessions. It’s a comprehensive course that will rebuild a loss of confidence in science and prepare students for year 11.

Mastering GCSE Science

Mastering science is a course designed to support students starting year 11 who are looking to access the grades 6-9 but require the additional tuition to polish their skills, clarify their understanding and practise writing high scoring answers to the most difficult questions for GCSE combined or triple in all three sciences. This course will build students confidence in their scientific skills as we spend time getting the basics right, ensuring all students have excellent foundations as the course gets down to the detail of each subject. 

The sessions last 55 minutes each and will cover many of the topics in triple science over of thirty weekly sessions building up to their GCSE with exam preparation in the months before. If your child is currently on a 4/5 in science but is generally higher in other subjects then this is the course for you.

Triple Science FOundations:

Triple Science Foundations is a course designed to enable keen year 9 science students to prepare for the GCSE Triple Science courses that most schools start at the beginning of year 10. By supporting year 9 students with the content and ideas from the first three years of secondary science they can move forward with an excellent grounding of the basics.

Each sessions last 55 minutes each and will cover many of the topics in key stage three and four science over of thirty weekly sessions building up to their GCSE with exam preparation in the months before. If your child is hoping to do triple science at key stage four then this is the course for you.
